Guthrie Baseball LogoHastings put together a nice outing. El Reno managed just one hit off of Hastings, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out 10 during his seven innings of work.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed Bluejays to easily put away El Reno. An RBI double by Reed Roberts and an RBI single by Grant Towler in the first inning and a three-run home run by Jacob Chappell during the second inning helped Bluejays put some runs on the board early.

Chappell racked up four RBIs on two hits for Bluejays.

Ryan Kouba couldn’t get it done on the bump for El Reno, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out three.

Bluejays matched its one-run fourth inning with one more in the sixth. In the fourth, Bluejays scored on an RBI single by Chappell, scoring Camden Wilcott.
