Weather Forecast: Cold and Windy

Bookmark and Share

It was bound to happen sometime this season and that sometime comes Saturday when Guthrie faces McAlester in the state semi-finals.

Cold weather.

Of course, when you play deep into November and December that is going to happen.

A front is brewing on the west coast and is expected to travel East and find Oklahoma on Friday evening and staying in place on Saturday and Sunday. The storm will bring rain, colder air and wind.

Up to a half-inch of rain is expected on Friday and Saturday, but showers are expected to end sometime in the morning.

The Class 5A semifinal will be played, at 1:00, on the field turf in Sapulpa.

The expected high will be 45 degree’s, but with the wind expected to be around 35 miles per hour from the north, it will feel more like the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.
