The City of Guthrie has received a great number of donations from Pet Smart and are selling the goods as a fundraiser for the Guthrie Animal Shelter that was damaged by the May 24th Guthrie tornado.

“We have hundreds of high quality pet beds that can be obtained for a $10 donation to the animal shelter,” City Manager Matt Mueller said. “These beds come in many different shapes and sizes. We also have a mountain of pet toys that we are giving away with a donation of $2.50.”

Items are available at the Library, Police Department, Utility Counter, or at the Animal Shelter’s temporary location at 927 East Prairie Grove Road.

Mueller said he is anticipating doing significant fundraising endeavors for the shelter.

The City of Guthrie has a special fund set up to accept donations to the animal shelter.
