Voters approve sale of fire station

Bookmark and Share

Voters in Guthrie approved the sale of the West Side Fire Station during last Tuesday’s election.

The proposal passed with a total of 179 votes to sell the station, while 45 voters did not want the city to sell the West Side Fire Station.

Officials say they will now determine the best way to sell the property by using either an auction or sealed bid.

The property cannot sell for less than the appraised value, which is a little over $51,000.
