The Hornets defense has put up seven shut-outs in their last nine games, and a big anchor has been four-year starter Dillion O’Carroll at nose guard.

The Hornets offense are solid at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. The signal caller is Jorday Albert, a transfer from Bishop Kelley. Albert missed the first round of the playoffs with a hand injury. Also, missing the first round game, with Claremore, was running back Issac Bennett.

Bennett returned for last weeks win over Deer Creek, but had to leave in the third quarter when he re-aggravated his ankle. Before leaving, however, he piled up 152-yards on 14 carries and scoring twice.

Wide out Tyler Lockett has already chosen Kansas State as his college choice. Lockett, a basketball stand-out as well, is a down field threat.

In the 23-0 win over Deer Creek, the Hornets rushed 36-times for 216-yards and attempting just six passes.
