Five members of the Northeastern A&M Golden Norsemen football team were selected to the all-Southwest Junior College Athletic Conference second team, including Guthrie’s Stanton Stevenson.

Stevenson, a 2009 Guthrie graduate, was a defensive tackle for the Norseman and finished fourth on the Golden Norse squad with 30 unassisted tackles and 39 assists with two quarterback sacks for minus-15 yards and one fumble recovery.

Stevenson, who was selected to the Guthrie Sports Page All Decade team on the offensive line for the Jays, compiled 17 unassisted tackles and 14 assists with one tackle behind the line of scrimmage for minus-2 yards in 2009. He also blocked a field goal attempt.

Stevenson is the son of Henry and Sheri Stevenson.
