District title hopes come more clear Friday night

Week 7 is a big week for Class 5A, District 1 to say the least. Guthrie can all but put a staple into the district championship with a win over Carl Albert and the Titans will control their destiny with a win over the rival Jays.

El Reno travels to Ada needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt, while Ada needing the win to try to perhaps stay alive for a home playoff game.

El Reno (3-3) at Ada (3-3)

Both teams need this win for different reasons. El Reno wants a playoff hope and Ada wants to hang on to that goal of a home playoff game.

Prediction: Ada 24, El Reno 12

Southeast (3-3) at Noble 0-5

Chances are running out for Noble to get their first win of their and Southeast is wanting to pile up another win in 2010.

Prediction: Southeast 27, Noble 7

Western Heights (1-5) at Deer Creek (4-2)

The Antlers are holding on to the third spot in district, but have match-ups with Carl Albert and Ada on the horizon. The Jets are looking to make it two wins in three weeks.

Prediction: Deer Creek 48, Southeast 12
