In its normal November meeting some of the elite cross country runners in Oklahoma and Arkansas met up for their annual race.

Walker Cross and Jonathan Ogan

The two states met in Roger, Arkansas for the 5k race on November 12th, and finishing in the top 11 was Guthrie’s Jonathan Ogan and Walker Cross.

Both BlueJay runners were fresh off an all-state performance after Ogan finished second and Cross third in the 5A state race in late October. Both runners helped led the Guthrie program to a second place finish after winning back-to-back team titles.

At the Arkansas/Oklahoma All-Star Meet, Ogan finished fifth overall with a time of 16:22 while Cross finished 11th in 16:40.

The average Oklahoma runner averaged 16:23 while the average Arkansas runner averaged 16:36. Oklahoma finished with 70 team points and won comfortably by 39-points as the Sooner state placed three in the top five and seven in the top 11.
