ShowMeMizzou caught up with 2011 LB prospect Kentrell Brothers 6’1″ 215 Guthrie (OK) following his visit to Missouri on Saturday to take in the Tigers’ Spring Game.

“I enjoyed it! Everything was good,” said the talented young athlete. “The game was good. The facilities were good. The coaches were really nice………….. It was just an all around good visit.”

Brothers made the trip to Missouri with his family. He said of his mother that “She loved it, too! She said the coaches were genuine. She loved the facilities and everything. She enjoyed the game, and she enjoyed the trip………….. Everything was positive.”

Kentrell said that he spent time on the visit with Kevonte Richardson from Millwood, Oklahoma, and that he got to meet Chase Daniel and Jeremy Maclin.

“I got Jeremy Maclin’s autograph! It was pretty cool!” said Brothers.

Kentrell said that Coach Pinkel told him that he “looked like Sean Weatherspoon.” Like Weatherspoon did, Brothers also plays receiver in high school, as well as LB. Some schools are even recruiting him as a WR. He said that he would be interested in seeing how high Weatherspoon goes in the draft.

Brothers said that his interest in Missouri, “Definitely went up after this visit.”

In addition, he acknowledged that he was already pretty high on Missouri prior to this visit.

I asked Brothers where he currently stands with his recruitment. He replied, “I think I’m just now starting to reach the peak of it. I’m getting a lot of attention, and I think a few more offers are coming. It’s going really good right now.”

Kentrell reported currently holding offers from Missouri, Tulsa, K-State, Kansas, Iowa State, Duke, Arizona, and Washington.

He said, “I’m going to take a few more visits before I narrow it down.”

Brothers said that he is planning to take visits to Kansas and K-State this summer to coincide with a basketball tournament in Kansas in which he will be playing.

He said, “I’m just going to take my time.”
